ECOTOXICOLOGICAL SERVICES
The ecotoxicology of veterinary medicines analyses their environmental impact and potential effect on non-target species, both aquatic and terrestrial. Although many drugs have been in use for some time, some basic information is still incomplete. Farefarma S.r.l. supports companies in assessing environmental impact by analysing existing data, predicting exposures, identifying necessary studies and interpreting the results for optimal risk management.​​
With our experience, we design and conduct environmental assessment studies for veterinary drugs, collecting and analysing scientific data, calculating predicted environmental concentrations (PECs) and assessing risks to terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. We offer modelling services for the physico-chemical properties of active ingredients, develop risk reduction strategies and conduct advanced Phase II - Tier A, B and C studies.
